    ʻImi Pono History

ʻImi Pono is Hui Makuaʻs way to raise money to support Hawaiian Immersion at Pūʻōhala. To kōkua nā kumu, provide wai in the papa, to mālama the māla at kula, kōkua me huakaʻi, and more.

ʻImi Pono 2022 will be held on March 5, 2022 at Ke Kula Kaiapuni O Pūʻōhala from 12pm-3pm. As we continue to safely celebrate during a pandemic, our in-person event will be slightly modified. It will include a drive-thru pick-up of pre-ordered mea ʻai and vaifala, and a B.Y.O.Blanket so ʻohana can picnic; enjoy music from Uncle Del Beazley, Hanale Bishop, Stephen Inglis, and Waiuʻi Kanahele; and shop vendor booths. This modified ʻImi Pono is meant to allows us to gather but also provides more physical distancing.
