About ʻImi Pono Concert and Craft Fair
Traditionally ‘Imi Pono Concert and Craft Fair is a fundraising event for our public school Hawaiian language immersion education at Ke Kula Kaiapuni o Pū’ōhala located at Pūʻōhala Elementary School in Kāneʻohe. Where there is a live concert; super ‘ono Hawaiian plate lunches; Hiki Nō Drawings; vendors selling awesome things; community booths; educational booths; fun, food, and love for our keiki and the Hawaiian language!
Due to COVID-19, this year ʻImi Pono will be very different. Instead of a traditional fundraiser, ʻImi Pono 2021 will focus on mahalo and aloha for the community that upholds kaiapuni and Pūʻōhala. Hui Makua o Pūʻōhala is honored to be doing a drive by pick up for the ʻono Hawaiian plate lunches, mea inu, Hiki nō drawing winning mea, and other mea between 1-3pm at kula. ʻOhana will then go home and get ready to enjoy a live-streamed virtual concert streamed by EVNTS LIVE between 5-7pm, while enjoying the ʻono meaʻai. There will be vendors page available during this time for all to browse and shop local.
Any proceeds raised during ʻImi Pono 2021 go to support the mission of Hui Makua o Pūʻōhala which focuses on Ke Kula Kaiapuni o Pūʻōhala
